Welcome to Takadai Meadows at Niseko, a fresh new organic farm, vineyard and restaurant project looking on to majestic Mt Youtei in Hokkaido.

Takadai (高台, たかだい) means “high ground” in Japanese, up here it feels like we’re farming from the eagle’s aerie.

We are too busy farming to spend time on fancy home pages so please visit our blog from time to time to see what we are up to.

On 6 July, the farm hosted the Revitalising Rural Japan, a press conference and symposium featuring Alex Kerr, Homma Yasunori and Bruce Gutlove who talked about marrying tourism and agriculture to help re-invigorate countryside towns and villages.
